Help please Ebayers - question about postage

Can anyone help an ebay virgin please? I've just sold a load of stuff on ebay and have noticed a printable postage label service for Royal Mail via Paypal. Is it really as easy as it sounds? When I have said label on parcel - do I still need to get a proof of postage from the PO? If not how does sender know I've sent it? Thanks for any advice....

it is easyish
you need good scales (kitchen ones not v accurate - always round the weight up) and a goodish printer though, and you have to sellotape the printout on unless you buy special sticky labels

if you want proof of postage you still have to queue in PO so it may be quicker to buy the postage there at the same time rather than fiddle online

if you don't get proof of postage you have no redress if it doesn't arrive with the buyer but tbh I've only ever sold cheap things so never bother - they've all arrived and if they didn;t it wouldn;t cost me too much to refund the buyer. Just mark the item as Disptached in My Ebay and they know you've sent it.

Personally I wouldn't bother with it. They expect you to queue in order to check the weight at my local post office anyway. Let the post office use their ink and paper.
