Anyone know of a courier for a long item?

Have made a bit of a mistake and have put postage as only £10 on a rotary airer, stupidly only weighed it as didn't know that the length was an issue. So now the item has been paid for and the cheapest courier I can find is £28! Just wondering if anyone has any ideas please?

Anyone?!

It's 192cms, forgot to put that bit.

as long as the total length doesn't exceed 4 metres, any courier will take it. By length, I mean from the bottom to the top and then back down to the bottom again. Eg, if is is 100cm tall and 30cms wide it's total would be: 100+30+100+30=260cms

Is that clear or am I making no sense at all? Sorry, but I'm no good at explaining things!

They all seem to have a maximum length of about 184cms eg pay per drop says 184x60x60cms would that be ok then?

why don't you email them and tell them what type of item you need to send? They should get back to you to say if they can or can't.

Most of them (haven't tried pay per drop) have said no based on the length. Thanks though, if you've got any ideas of companies I could try though that would be great. Just had an email off the buyer and he's very annoyed, definitely negative feedback if I don't get this sorted quickly!

Ok, the ones I have used are:

payperdrop
parcels2go.co.uk
senditquick.co.uk
If none of these will take it, I don't know who to suggest.
Good luck!

Thanks so much for the list sarahlou and for all your replies. Finally found a solution though and thought I'd post it in case anyone has the same problem! Have booked a company called parcelfusion, cost me £23 making a sale total of £9 on a £30 airer but hey I'm rid of it and hopefully no negative feedback! Thanks again sarahlou

Glad to hear you're sorted. Will add your courier to my trusted list just in case I am ever stuck!
