How to pay delivery on a collection only listing

I'm trying to buy a pushchair and the seller has it listed as collection only, cash on collection. I've emailed and asked about postage. He's quoted £30 which is fine by me. How do I do these carefully? Don't want to pay PayPal while it's listed as collection in case he doesn't post it... Am I being dense or sensible?

Seller arranges courier & sends you an invoice with the courier charge added to the purchase price.

Seller can and should revise the listing to include the courier charge.

Seller has to provide proof of delivery in a dispute, so Buyer has advantage using Paypal to buy an item Collection-Only.

You pay PayPal. It doesn’t matter how it’s listed, if he doesn’t post it you open a not received case with eBay and get your money back.
