DH put a game on ebay

It was bought (buy it now) but payment never materialised.

We emailed the buyer but had no response

We want to list it again/get our fees refunded so DH contacted ebay dispute thingy (nicely!)

Got a reply today saying "sorry, got game off another ebay who accepts paypal"

Duh

Apparently action is needed by us - what do we do? How do we get it listed again for free?

Link your auction.

BingoStingo · 15/04/2007 17:10

but won't he leave neg for me then?

Also, how do I list it again without paying 2 x fees?

when he click BIN he entered a legally blinding contract with you.

SparklyGothKat · 15/04/2007 17:11

when did the auction finish? I think you have to wait so long before you can claim as a non paying bidder,

BingoStingo · 15/04/2007 17:12

I bloody hate ebay! I don't know how to list it again

OP posts:
BingoStingo · 15/04/2007 17:12

Before you relist the item, file an Unpaid Item dispute for the original listing and request a Final Value Fee credit when you close the dispute. You can close the dispute after the buyer has responded at least once, or if the buyer does not respond within 7 days.

chose the following option when you close - #

?I no longer wish to communicate with or wait for the buyer?.

With this option, the buyer receives an Unpaid Item strike. You?ll receive a Final Value Fee credit, and the item will become eligible for an Insertion Fee credit when you relist it.

BingoStingo · 15/04/2007 17:22

THanks very much! Do you t hink I should post a "final comment" ?

(I'm halfway through!)

OP posts:
BingoStingo · 15/04/2007 17:22

erm - what is an insertion fee credit? WEll, I sort of understand what it is, but not how to "use" it when relisting?

OP posts:
sixlostmonkeys · 15/04/2007 17:26

the Insertion fee is the amount you pay to list an item eg 15p - you won't have to pay this again

sixlostmonkeys · 15/04/2007 17:26

final comment - buyer refuses to pay for item

BingoStingo · 15/04/2007 17:29

Great, I've done that thanks! I've clicked on relist item, will it automatically use the final valuation thingy?

OP posts:
sixlostmonkeys · 15/04/2007 17:30

it should do if you followed it all ok

fingers crossed

BingoStingo · 15/04/2007 17:32

Thanks ever so much for your help

OP posts:
sixlostmonkeys · 15/04/2007 17:38

don't suppose you know where all my items are that were in my Turbo Lister do you?

There are about 2000 of them so should be easy to find

It's about 6 months work and now I'm kinda stuffed.
Need to go collect DS soon...and explain to him that mummy won't be able to work anymore now so we won't be able to eat or anything...he'll understand won't he?

BingoStingo · 15/04/2007 17:45

WHAT?

OP posts:
sixlostmonkeys · 15/04/2007 17:51

I've got 30 minutes to pull myself together before I collect DS.
I can't stop crying and I've been sick

Bloomin ebay this is all because of their underhand removal of UK listings on .com that forced me to make the decision to list on .com - I upgraded to do so and now I've lost everything.
Lost all my sales over past few weeks, have debts up to here and now I've lost all the work I've ever done...

sorry, I'm waffling

BingoStingo · 15/04/2007 17:54

thats awful, can't tehy do anything?

do you mean that you've listed stuff and not had the money (or something similar)

OP posts:
sixlostmonkeys · 15/04/2007 17:59

I haven't had any sales (well, about 4 for small amounts but that's it)
Just like many others on ebay UK - many who have lost their businesses big time!
So, instead of making a living for the past few weeks I've made about £8.

The Turbo Lister thing? I just don't know. I followed all the advice to upgrade, I backed it up, but now it has none of my items in at all - its just empty - ive lost the lot

BingoStingo · 15/04/2007 18:08

Thats shit - have ebay told you to bog off?

OP posts:
sixlostmonkeys · 15/04/2007 18:13

ebay never get back to you if you ask for help - you just get a standard reply which rarely relates to your query.

I've asked for help on the boards - just waiting for someone in the know to come along now.

I just need to pull myself together and start all over again i guess.

Things could be worse

anyone wanna buy a book?

BingoStingo · 16/04/2007 12:23
