Posting box of books to Spain

Hi, not exactly eBay, but thought this may be the best place to get an answer.

I need to send a box of books and mags (and teabags ) to a friend in Spain. Box weighs about 6Kg and is 30x25x25cm. Any ideas of the best way to do it? Have checked parcelfarce & looks to be about £40. There are some cheaper ones but not sure if they are any good. Any recommendations gratefully received.

TIA

Ok I am looking at my Royal mail leaflet and if you split it into 3 parcels of 2kg each, you could send it by surface mail. 500 g costs 2.64 to send and then each extra 50g is 24p thereafter.

errm that would work out very dear actually. Sorry

Check out surface mail option on Royal Mail website. You can send up to 5kg of books/magazine so you will have to send more than one parcel. oh, and you would have to send the teabags separately but it shouldnt cost too much.
At a guess it could work out cheaper than £40

£31.80 for 3 X 2kg Airmail

Teabags are integral part of the package!! hanks for the info but looks like similar prices everywhere. Will take to the post office tomorrow & let you know.
