Hi All,

I won an item on e-bay on Staurday which is chq or postal order payment only - my fault for not looking properly.

However I have emailed the seller twice for payee and address, as they're details are'nt on e-bay and they have't responded. I want to pay for this item and get it posted as soon as possible.

What would you say is a reasonable time for me to wait before contacting e-bay? I realise 48 hours is me being a bit impatient

If it was my item selling I would be checking within 24 hours of the auction ending.

Ebay is very scarey when you first start I think ! I don't know how she was allowed to sell without registering an address - ebay should not allow this !

My view is that she was new, inexperienced and probably very nervous about her first transaction - you were rather over-keen to pay (which is not a criticism) and I think sending her 4 emails as you did will have seriosuly spooked her - so she probably thinks ebay is just too much hassle now !

I know people who have worried so much about ebaying stuff that they have made themselves ill - some people are born worriers ! I bought a car off ebay last summer and the woman I bought it from was no nervy that she even paid to talk to a solicitor to make sure she wsn't doing anything wrong !

Us expereinced ebayers get blase about it - but some peop,ke def find it very scarey !

Unlucky all round - I just think you should move on !

I will move on - but although not an experienced seller she has bought lots so it's not like she doesnt know how it works - just strikes me as odd!
