Is it just me or is paypal being reeeeaaaaally slow?

I have paid for things instantly on paypal, and firstly they don't leave my bank account for a week, but in my ebay it still shows as payment pending, when it left my bank 3 days ago!

I'm glad it's not just me - I paid for a number of items on 4th April and they were all pending until yesterday (17th)!! My payments normally clear pretty much immediately. Does anyone know what is going on?

I had this, and found with me it was because I had verified my account, and paypal was taking the money from my bank acc and treating it like a direct debit, if I choose to pay via my debit card it come out of my bank straight away, otherwise it takes a week hard to keep track of what I have coming out, if this makes sense
