Help!! Multiple bid mess!

What to do?? I've put a listing for 4 nappy wraps of diff sizes and colours and somehow i've ended up with 3 winning bids and they all expect to have the 4 nappies each??!
The e-bay system says that 2 have won 1 nappy each and one has bid for 2.
But they are e-mailing me expecting the lot.
Only one person has paid so far and i'm going to send them to her.
Does this mean i'm going to get lots of bad feedback just because of a listing mistake?
Any ideas on how to placate the ones who thought they had won but not even paid yet?
Oh, i just want to scream!

do you mind putting the item number here ?

southeastastra · 30/03/2007 13:29

otherwise the only thing you can do is just apologies and put it down to a listing error. sure they'd understand and not neg you for it

I'd contact the ones who think they've won but haven't paid yet and explain that you've made a mistake with the listing and that as one person that has "won" has already paid you're sending the lots to them - hopefully if you do if quickly enough they'll be ok about it.

Thanks for replying, the item no is 110105386509. It was just my first time at selling something and the computer went down in the middle of listing.
Yes, i will try and be as sorry as possible to the other bidders but in the end they have not paid yet so have not lost anything.
This selling lark is so difficult, i'd much rather buy.

just looked at your listing, and it isn't at all clear that this is a multiple item listing. If I was bidding I would expect to win all 4 wraps as well.

I think you just have to own up to the mistake, and put it down to experience.

southeastastra · 30/03/2007 13:37

yes can see what has happened though your description seems clear that the buyer would get all 4.

just explain that it was your first listing i'm sure they'll understand. don't let it put you off!

Ripeberry · 30/03/2007 13:38

Thanks for your input. I will e-mail the winning bidder to say they have the wraps and crawl on my belly to the other two.
Wish me luck.

good luck! let us know

where it has quantity did you put in 4?? as it would then make it look like you had 4 lots of 4 nappies to sell.

Ripeberry · 30/03/2007 22:35

Just to update you all. The two other bidders were very understanding and that they were not bothered at all about my mistake.
One actually thanked me for being honest.
Anyway, Those wraps are on their way to their new owner.
Thank you for your help.
