Goods sold but not paid for before I go on holiday so I can't post

I have sold some items today, sent them invoiced and asked if they could pay before I go on holiday later this week, otherwise it will be the 23rd before I can post again.
What of they don't pay in time, I can't leave with anyone to post for me as I am going with all my family.
But if I don't post soon after they pay I'll get bad feedback, as they were around £5 total (incl postage) I am thinking should I post before they pay?

I was in the same situation. I go on holiday next week & I Timed it so my auctions would end a week before I go, that way gives them enough time to pay and me post in time etc. Luckily it worked n my eBay is all done n dusted now before I go. I wouldn't post before they pay, because if it arrives before they pay then they won't pay for it at all. A case might open, so you might get more time that way.
I've had quite a few circumstances where I've not been able to post on time, n I've just messaged the buyer to let them know. They are normally ok about it, like I said it will arrive later than eBay's estimated arrival date etc so please ignore that. N they normally just say no problem etc. All depends what buyer you have I suppose doesn't it. N in a way it is their fault because you gave them enough time to pay before your holiday. N if they pay while your away well that is just a pain in ass, thanks to them.
I'd send them a message clearly stating you will be away etc and due to late payment you will post on so n so date when you get back. Hopefully they will be ok with it and not leave you neg feedback. If they did I don't think you could do much about it, signed for or not. I wouldn't upload the tracking number to eBay if it's recorded/signed for etc.

You can file non-paying bidder if they don't pay within 2 days. So shouldn't be a problem. Don't post if they haven't paid.
