We sold something spares and repairs stated it didn't work etc.
Buyer wanted refund because 'it didn't work'. They opened a case with eBay and eBay sided in their favour and said they had to send it back.
We then got an email stating refund had been issued as tracking info had been provided saying we had received the item back. Not true.
In the middle of this we were getting abusive messages from buyer.

They then messaged us a sarcastic message thanking us for the refund.
I got in touch with eBay and told them exactly how the buyer had committed fraud by giving false tracking info and how we had been harassed.

Lady on phone couldn't of been more helpful and after seeing the buyers messages to us wasn't happy with them at all.
Full refund back to us and the buyer is being looked into and account is being flagged as possible trouble maker.

Just goes to show eBay does sometimes side with the seller Smile

I just had a case found in my favour as a seller too. Buyer opened a case saying item had not arrived but I had a tracking number which said it had been delivered. Closed immediately in my favour via ebay chat. Even simple proof of postage certs now contain a number and you can check delivery status on royal mail site. I often get signed for but this was a very cheap item so I went for just POP and it was enough.
