My DH sold something on eBay as spares and repairs because it doesn't work. This was stated in description. Person bought it then asked for a refund because 'it doesn't work' Hmm no shit Sherlock
They opened a case and now eBay has sided with the buyer?! How is that fair?
So if you're a seller on eBay you'll lose every time?

I'd take it as a lesson to assume most people are dim and in future I'd put in large letters "NOT WORKING>>>BROKEN"

Have you actually rung Ebay- I have found them to be very helpful and they will look through the listings if you ask them to to prove that you had listed the item correctly.

Will be ringing eBay later. I know they side with the buyer a lot but common sense wouldn't go a miss. What's the point of the spares and repairs category if eBay doesn't even know what it means.
No wonder eBay is fall of fraudsters when it's so easy to get your money back.

Yes, you can appeal a decision by calling ebay. Sometimes speaking to an actual person can make all the difference.
