I bid on some playmobil yesterday. Checked it now, with an hour to go, and I'm still winnig. But a question and answer has been posted asking if the vehicles in the set had wheels. The seller replied that the 'jeeps had several sets', which to me implies the other sorts dont. Obv I dont want cars with no wheels! i really did assume they'd have wheels (naive, but easily done), and its hard to be sure from the picture, as there's a huge bundle so not alot of detail etc etc. I cant retract my bid now as its less than 12 hours from the end. I've emailed the seller, but no reply; what if they dont check before the auction end? Is there anything I can do?

all i can think is that if you do win and they arrive with no wheels you can ask for a refund under 'not as described'
or - if you win you could ask, stating that you tried to ask prior to the auction end - if there are no wheel try to discuss the options with the seller before she posts them, or before you pay.

could you post the item number here so that i can read the listing?

Dont think that would do it, as technically they werent described as having wheels, I just assumed vehicles would have Got all excited and quick off the mark.
Am getting another mnetter to pick up for me if I win, so neither do I want to send her into a lions den, so to speak!

You could probably order extra wheels direct from Playmobil if needs be. The other vehicles may just have their normal quota ! Can you ask about them ?

LadyOfTheFlowers · 25/03/2007 20:56

i, personally, would say it is very reasonable to expect the vehicles to have wheels so you could say the item was incomplete?
its like buying a car without an engine? unless the seller says there isnt one, you would exect there to be one?

LadyOfTheFlowers · 25/03/2007 20:57

yes, would like to look at the listing?

LadyOfTheFlowers · 25/03/2007 21:01

found it!

if you look at he picture with the yellow jeep, you can just see the front stalk for a wheel to go on sticking out.

Outbid, so that solves that ! It went for £48 ish plus 14.50 postage, so I hope the winning bidder is happy with the stuff.
