Auction ended with no bids and really wanted item

Is there a way of making a offer if the item is no longer up for auction and had no bids. Things have been frantic over the weekend and forget to bid and auction ended this afternoon, with no bids but really wanted for dd birthday.

Find the item again - it shoild still be on your watching list, or find it on completed items.

On the right hand side of the details of the item, click, contact seller or ask seller question.

Explain that you misssed it, sorry, would she/he still sell... I'm sure he/she will.

Yes I've done this. They'll often stick it back on again for you with a buy it now price.

Is it possible to make an offer or is that against ebay rules.

Yes, if there are no bids yet, then the seller can make any adjustments that they want - including a buy-it-now price.

Contact them and make an offer, ask them to add a buy-it-now, if thay are happy with your offer.
