Hi,

am trying to shift some rucksacks on ebay and i was wondering whats the easiest and cheapest way i can package them up for sending out? The only size information i have is as follows:

31 x 42 x 21cm

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

I take it the 21 cm is the depth when the bag is full? I.e. It isn't as thick when flat?

A RM small parcel max size is 45x35x16 cm so just lie it flat and wrap it up (a bin bag maybe and lots of tape?) and send it second class signed for @£3.95

PS MyHermes might be cheaper but a lot of people don't like them as they are more reliable than RM in my experience. Not sure about their sizes either, and you need to print the labels yourself, which is a pain if, like me you don't own a printer

Perfect!

Just make sure the Post Office put it through as a small parcel as it is literally the largest it can be (so don't have any of the sides bulging), and they may try and get a medium sized out of you!

Thanks so much for your help you've been great:-) Not to be pain in the backside but just to confirm which boxes shall i get the ones in the first link or the second? Also about postage labels shall i just get some i stick on the box and write the address down on with a pen?

sorry for the thousands of questions its just that am quiet new to this ebay stuff.

You can also buy postage bags really cheaply from Amazon. I tend to use those (much less faff than boxes) and also some white sticky labels to stick the addesss on with.

The second ones won't fit your items based on the measurements you provided.
And Roly is right, mailing bags will be cheaper you can pick these up on eBay or amazon

PS it doesn't matter how your attach the address as long as it's visible.

I know I'm a bit late to the party but just wanted to add, packaging is so expensive, apart from envelopes I never buy any other packaging materials, I save things like shoe boxes, cereal boxes, cereal boxes are great for stiffening envelopes, I also save bubble wrap or even the plastic from paper towel/toilet roll added up can be great padding. Your local corner shop will have loads of spare boxes too.
