IS THERE ANY WAY I CAN CHECK ONLINE IF A POSTAL ORDER HAS BEEN CASHED??

SOMEONE SENT ME ONE FOE SOMETHING THEY BOUGHT OFF MY EBAY, IT HASNT TURNED UP AND HE SAYS I HAVE CASHED IT, WHICH I HAVENT AS IT NOT EVEN TURNED UP, IS THERE ANY WAY I CAN FIND OUT, I KNOW THE REF NUMBERS?

I don't think there is a way to find out online, but you can find out if you take the ref numbers to the post office - I think.

I have used postal orders to pay for things on ebay - I wouldn't know if it had been cashed or not and I don't think your buyer would know either.....

I'm racking my brains here (it doesn't take long ) - I once asked about postal orders at the post office and i think i was told they can only track crossed postal orders. Or maybe they can track them all, but if it was uncrossed, then anyone could have cashed it and so no one is the wiser.

Tbh - I'd check the facts at the PO (i'm useless) then contact the buyer and ask if the PO was crossed.
The sender of anything through the post is responsible. If he/she didn't send it recorded delivery then tbh it's tough on him/her if it has gone astray. As far as you are concerned you haven't received payment and if they don't send another payment then you simply file a Non performing buyer, get your fees back and then list again.
Of course you will probably get a neg (which you can return - but you can reply to their neg with a calm factual 'buyer did not pay. NPB granted' this will not deter any future buyers
