Not on eBay but on instagram. £220 to be shipped from US to Australia. Seller takes a long time to respond to my inquiries - like measurement. She finally did though.

I asked her to send me invoice on Paypal. No reply for two days. Then she messages me giving me her email address and says I should send the payment to that email address.

Told her I need an invoice. She said she can do it on Monday as she needs to be in a computer to do that.

Her IG page looks legit.

Definitely not. Unless you have money to burn.

I would. Have actually done similar in the past, no issues. I appreciate it can be hit and miss, though you're covered if you go thorugh PayPal.

Incidentally, you don't need an invoice to send a PayPal payment.

I'm worried if I send it without first receiving an invoice, it will be regarded as sending money to a friend or family and thus not be given Paypal protection. Is this not the case? Thanks

You can select pay for goods and services when making payments to individuals through PayPal. That is the only way you will be protected. Even if she send you and invoice and you pay her through the friends and family option you won't have payment protection

No, too much money at stake.
