Selling on Ebay

I have some really gorgeous girls clothes to sell.Alot are still brand new or barely worn from Monsoon and Next etc. I am not working at the mo so really skint and would love to make some money selling my baby stuff. I have never sold on Ebay although my DH has sold a few bits without any problems. I am however really nervous about it. Reading through some comments on here it all seems a real nightmare and I hate the thought of spending hours sat trying to put items on the computer and any potential problems with buyers. Honest opinions girls, is Ebay worth the effort to make a few quid??

Only if you consider it as pocket money.

Brand names sells easily, and if you already have a track record as a seller that's good.

I would put a mix of cheap and expensive (few bits less than 10) on first to see how it goes. Buyers find a brand name and then see what else you are selling, so its like a hook to get them interested. Offer multipal PP discounts. But look at the new post office 2nd class costs. You'll have to send most as Packet size I guess.

Also have a browse and see what is sellling and look at the auction.

If you have alot to sell I would recommend eBay Turbo lister, as you can easily make a template for all your stuff.

I think it's worth the effort

take good photos. use photobucket (it's free) to add extra photos in the listing rather than pay extra for ebay photos.
Copy the clothes label details eg, age, material, size etc.

Ask buyers to ask questions 'prior to bidding' - this covers you somewhat.

Have a quick look at other similar listings to see which seems to sell the best - bundles or separate.

State any faults - bobbling for eg.

Weigh beforehand including packaging so that you don't end up out of pocket with the postage.

State on the listing that you are selling other similar items and you will combine the P&P.

have fun and good luck.
