Seller doesn't seem to be able to use Paypal items showing unpaid

Long one this.

So, a couple of months ago I bought two low value (few pounds) items from the same seller. Paid straight away with Paypal. Seller sent items. I got items, left positive feedback, all good.

Then I notice that the payment I sent is showing as "seller not received". I let seller know. She seemed unable to sort it, and 30 days later payment was returned to me. Items now showing as "unpaid" on my Ebay page.

I contacted seller again. She thinks she had given the wrong email address for paypal. Gave me a new address. I repaid. Same thing happened.

So I have the items. Can't return them as have re-sold already. I have tried to pay her twice, she can't seem to get her Paypal account sorted.

Items are still showing as "unpaid" on my Ebay. What more can I do? Slightly fed up with trying to talk seller through process of setting up a Paypal account, tempted to think it's not my problem.

Tell her to send you an invoice once she has it sorted and you will pay. Then just leave it, you're not a PayPal tutor!

Yes I did try that, she didn't quite get an invoice together just sent me the new email address. Am I likely to get in trouble with Ebay for non-payment?

No not at all, it's not your problem.

Again, just leave it, if she sends you an invoice, pay it. If she can't work it out just forget about it (it's really not rocket science).

Thanks Lottie. I don't remember it being that difficult either!
