I am pleased to report that someone who stole money from me about 2 years ago on an ebay auction has been successfully prosecuted and has now pleaded guilty.
Paypal gave me £100 at the time, I will hopefully get the rest of it if this thief has money in the bank which the courts can force him to pay out to his victims.
I reported this person within days of the item not arriving. The police took a witness statement from me. Several other people had reported him too. Apparently he took £1000's within weeks.
I am now very very careful on ebay.
