Bundles or individual items?

As far as I can see, it's worth selling high-quality stuff like Mini-Boden as individual items. But what is the best thing to do with less high-end kids clothes?

Is it best to group things as outfits, or as bundles of eg. tops or trousers together? Are brands like H&M worth selling individually? Is it better to do bigger bundles or smaller ones?

All opinions gratefully received.

Does nobody have an opinion on this?

I don't really sell clothes - but you could have a look at "completed items" under various children's clothes catergories and see what sold for the most - and got most bids HTH.

As a shopper I go for bundles, especially as postage costs can mount up for individual items . I'd go for smaller bundles of 5 items or so for nice stuff (for example I just got 2 pairs of dungarees with a couple of vests because they were really nice). Depends on the age range though, baby stuff def big bundles as people are looking to totally clothe their baby (at least I am, just got myself a bundle of 3-6 months. 47 items at £20)

I've never done bundles, but I do sell loads of clothes. IME, as you've identified, the Bodens, Monsoons and Jigsaws of the world sell well as individual items. I've tried other stuff like M&S, it just doesn't go well, and for the effort involved, I'll usually just bundle it off to the charity shop, or give it to friends.

Which isn't to say don't try bundles - just I have no experience of doing it

i never buy or sell the cheaper stuff on ebay. its never worth buying as its so cheap new plus youd have to pay postage, and when i ve tried to sell them it just doesnt go so now only sell off boden, monsoon, gap etc off indiv or as outfits. as a shopper i never even look at the bundles as rarely like whats in them (or might like one or two pieces). i give all my h&m etc stuff to friends or charity shops.

Hmm. I have some stuff that is probably not swanky enough to sell well as individual items, but a bit too good for the charity shop (H&M, M&S, various European makes). Might see if I can put together a convincing bundle and try it out.

I'm also finding that boys' stuff goes less well than girls', does that sound familiar? Thanks for all this free consultancy, btw! I'm just starting out doing ebay and trying to get a feel for how to get the best result.

Sounds like you've got a good feel for it already, if you're just starting out. Hope it goes well!

I think if you can name a few "names" in your bundle it might help - it's worth giving it a go and seeing what happens.

In terms of boys' stuff, I've always sold and bought Boden at good prices - sometimes half the original price, so definitely worth having a go.

Boden sells for mad prices, sometimes half to two-thirds of the new price, plus postage. The girls' GAP and Next stuff is going well too, but the boys not so much. Muddy Puddles waterproofs seem to sell for loads too, and wetsuits for quite a bit.

It's quite intriguing trying to suss out what works, but trying not to make too many expensive mistakes! I'm finding that some items get bid up quite high early on, while other seem to stick at £1 or so for ages and then shoot up in the last few minutes.

You definitely need to keep your nerve and wait for the last frantic snipes!

i have a bit of success with bundles I sold the last one for 36 quid. I personally think you have to have something to make yours stand out a bit as there are a lot on there. So in the last one I included a monsoon top for example. Then you can get away with including stuff that isn't as well known.

I sell in bundles of 3-5 items and have sold stuff individully but mainly next etc
