Ebay virgin - help!

I have been overseas and now back in the UK, I bid and have won my first ebay item on the 28 feb, just something small, and paid pretty much straightaway with Paypal, I have received a confirmation from Paypal that I have paid and it had the sellers email address. I emailed them asking if they had received the payment and have had no reply nor package (admittedly it is a bit early to expect it). Have I breached some kind of ebay etiquette? Or is it normal not to hear from the seller and just receive your package? Sorry if the questions are a bit idiotic, I am pregnant after all

Depends on the seller - some are dizzyingly prompt and some aren't. I wouldn't have enquired just yet - after a week, maybe... don't worry.

Hello!! sometimes you just receive your package without any communication atall, with others they may send you a quick line to let you know when its posted. both are normal. I wouldnt worry, its perfectly acceptable to ask. Its early yet, give it a few days.. (careful, its addictive)

p.s Congratulations...

Your seller may update the item with a "item despatched" (a little parcel icon) so you can see if it's on its way

thanks for your comments, I wasn't sure what was considered to be a 'normal' waiting time and in what sort of circumstances do you give negative feedback, everyone seems to only say nice things about each other most of the time, very British

You need to allow a reasonable amount of time - two days is pushing it a bit. I would not ask until about a week has passed, personally, but most sellers will have your item to you within 2-4 days.

Bad feedback tends to be reserved for when there is a problem the seller (or buyer) won't take steps to resolve.

ie: Not responding to complaints. Delivery taking long time (2wks+) without explanation. Filthy items etc. Fake items.

Most people try to sort problems out before leaving feedback, as this is what ebay advises and only use neutral unless the problem is really bad.
