Sending/posting heavy items

Hello fellow ebayers.
I usually sell clothes, bags, shoes etc but have a heavy item to sell. To send it via Parcel Force will cost £19.28. Does anyone know of a cheaper way to send heavy items? It's not bulky, just weighs a lot (it's an old lock).
Thanks in advance!

I think if you google parcel delivery or something similar you will be able to find cheaper delivery service. We have one in the next town which delivers up to 20kg for about £6.

I'm another one for Colectplus.

Try Collect+

Go to the parcel monkey website. It's a comparison site where you put in all your details and it tells you who will be the cheapest.

Another vote to check out parcelmonkey, or even Shiply.com

Great! Thank you all so much. I will look into Parcel Monkey and Collect+. It's quite an expensive item so I think the cost of insurance may bump the price up.
