Has eBay been hacked or something?

Since last night, whenever I've browsed eBay using an iPad (and I'm a long-time user of the site with no probs), within a matter of seconds I get redirected to Apple App Store saying I've won a free app. When I cancel and try to click back to the site, I noticed I'm getting routed through other sites. This is happening repeatedly and only from the eBay website. Anyone else experiencing this?

No problems here. Try clearing your history.

Yup I cleared history, but it was still doing it on my and DHs iPads. Hasn't done it for the last hour or so, so am hoping whatever it was has been fixed. I noticed someone has started a thread about it on ebay's community pages, but it seems to be affecting only people using Apple products.
