Paypal- pros and cons of credit card / bank account

Help appreciated! I'm setting up eBay and paypal accounts to buy and sell a few things. Any advice on whether to link my PayPal account to a credit card or bank account would be appreciated

I have my debit and credit card linked. I think it's good to have a back up, when funds aren't available in your Paypal account.
I always thought it was compulsory anyway but apparently not.

I have mine linked to my bank account and debit card. For me, the pros are that if I sell lots I can transfer the funds into my bank account almost instantly. The only con is that it's too easy to spend the money in my account on an eBay whim lol
