I ordered and paid through pay pall for an item on the 18th of Jan 07, I have still not received the item and the seller (shop) is telling me they have a problem with Royal Mail and items going missing.
When I emailed them the first time about the missing item this is the email I received from them

*Hi there
This item was sent at the start of the week I can only assume that it has been lost in the post I will send another out to you tomorrow via recorded delivery to be sure that you received it in time *

Sorry for any delay

I left negative feed back this week as I have still not received the item; they sent me a second email which is below

  • Hi there

I have noticed that you have left a negative feedback
I find this a bit unfair as i have sent two of these out to you
I cannot control Royal Mail and i do apologise that you still have not received your sporran but i have tried to be as helpful as possible and sent another out to you without question when you told me you had not received the first one

I hope that we can work to remove this feedback as i do believe it to be unfair and hope that you would agree.*

I have emailed them again asking for a tracking no for Royal Mail and if they can look into, as I have just recently started using eBay can anyone tell me if I am being unreasonable in this fed back and what do I do if I don?t receive the article I have purchased.
Thank you for any help in this matter that is received.

Yes unreasonable to be honest
11 days, Royal mail do not refund or class mail as missing until at least 21 days have passed and thats WORKING days
Veryr easonable seller if you ask me
once you received your item you should work with the seller to remove the feedback

OK thanks for your reply so quickly, as the replacement item was suppose to be sent by recorded delivery I would have thought I should have received at least the second delivery by now.

I think the unwritten 'rule' is that as long as the seller is openly and positively communicating then you continue to try and resolve with them. If it goes beyond a reasonable time - 6 weeks I would say, then ask for a refund.

Only tend to leave negative feedback if I don't receive an item and seller doesn't repliy to communications/won't honour refund.
