I want to sell a juice machine on ebay and am wondering about using one of the couriers we were talking about at Christmas.

It weighs 6.5kg unwrapped.

Anyone used any of them?

i havem the 5.99 payperdrop one

it was DHL and they were great

HCan I get a quote from them kitty? What restrictions do they have on size?

How do I find them? On ebay?

its up to 31KG!!

i posted a double buggy for £5.99 so i think a juice machine would be ok

you dont get a quote - just as long as your items under 31kg, and less than 120cms long and wide (or something similar) then its ok

im guessing the juice machine fits, so you just buy-it-now, then fill out a form in the 'ebay shop' and decide your day for pick up

here

and make sure its mainland england - and youll be ok

if its isles or highland scotland, its more

it says only one attempt at delivery. Do you just arrange with your buyer to be in?

yeah, just email them the date it will be delivered,

Ceolas · 27/01/2007 13:00

Great, thanks. It would cost about £9 via standard parcels with Royal Mail. Saves £3 I suppose!

Does he just deliver in England then?

Ceolas · 27/01/2007 14:27

No saltire, it says mainland UK. Highlands and Islands and Northern Ireland are excluded.

I wondered, as kittylette says to "make sure it's mainland England". I don't understand why these companies say that they don't deliver to the Highlands, they aren't unnaccsessible, they do have roads. One company wouldn't deliver to me once as they said it was the highlands - which Fife clearly isn't

I wonder if you can give instructions like "please leave with a neighbour" if you are out? I am slightly worried about the "one delivery attempt" thing.

You could also use this one (click on the UK parcels link) which does deliver to the Highlands and Islands. Used these with no problems at Christmas for a Highlands delivery (they use Parcel Force) - have also used Payperdrop with no issues.
