I had some auctions ending this afternoon - one of them finished at 4.20 (this afternoon). The winning paid instantly and I'm really greatful for that. However they've just sent me a message asking if I could post it today so they can (hopefully) receieve it tomorrow. I've replied - nicely - saying that there's no way I can get to town and get it posted today - is that unreasonable of me - given that it IS now well gone 4pm on a Friday afternoon?????

Thelittlesoldiersmummy · 26/01/2007 16:48

No some people are just bloody cheeky unless you have stated same day delivery on your auction dont worry about it !

Thelittlesoldiersmummy · 26/01/2007 16:49

lol Brandy7 completely!

beckybrastraps · 26/01/2007 16:49

It's not unreasonable of them to ask ( they may need it pronto. But it is also not unreasonable of you to say no, on this occasion.

fannyannie · 26/01/2007 16:50

Thanks - I didn't think I was but had a sudden moment of "am I being mean" about it.

If it had been earlier in the day then yes they could expect you to post it that day but at 4.20 in the afternoon they are being a bit cheeky and I dont think your wrong in saying no. If they were that desperate for it then they should have bid for an item that the auction ended earlier!

BBWBabeLisa · 26/01/2007 18:08

I always put on my listings that items will be posted within 3 working days of auction ending, and if they want it sooner they need to email me before bidding to check if I can do it.

nikkie · 26/01/2007 19:15

I put that I post on X, Y and Z days

Not mean of you to say no at all, but not wrong of them to ask either, as long as they did it politely.

fannyannie · 26/01/2007 19:27

Well they haven't replied back to my message so they can't have been that desperate......it's only a PS1 game too - so unless they think they're going to be REALLY bored this weekend I can't see that waiting until Monday/Tuesday will make much difference LOL.

i put that i will post within 24hrs unless it ends on a Saturday, usually next working day after recieved payment.

not unreasonable to say no, i woudlnt manage to get my kids out at that time!! and frankly wouldnt like to be asked that unless they asked before they bid!
