How to wrap perfume to post?

It's unused and in original packaging. I know it's a restricted item but royal mail's website says to send in strong outer packaging. Any idea what they mean? Are they talking box or strong jiffy bag? How would you package and send it? Thanks!

I would send it with a courier who will cover for the loss/breakage and wouldn't send via RM at all.

There is no way I'd send it in a jiffy bag. I'd put it in a plastic bag that I can close tightly, wrap it in bubblewrap (or newspaper at least), and put it in a box.

Never used a courier before. Any recommendations?

I'm almost positive that they PO won't accept parcels with anything flammable in. And that includes perfume.

Well I've wrapped it in bubble wrap, put it in a bit and a zip lock vague and then in a strong plastic jiffy bag. Will post later or tomorrow now. For info this is what royal mail's website says (it's restricted not prohibited) :

Perfumes and aftershaves Including eau de parfum, eau de toilette and alcohol-free perfumes, but excluding non-flammable perfumed creams, gels, oils or lotions.
Volume per item must not exceed 150ml. No more than four perfumes or aftershaves can be sent in any one package. The perfume or aftershave must be within its original retail packaging and then placed in strong outer packaging. The inner packagings must be packed, secured or cushioned to prevent breakage or leakage of their contents into the outer packaging.
An ID8000 label must be applied ( see example ID8000 label ). The sender’s name and return address must be clearly visible on the outer packaging."

Omg typos. Bit = box. Vague = bag.

No, don't use a courier! Most of them specifically exclude perfumes, certainly MyHermes won't take it.

Royal Mail WILL happily ship (within the UK), but as you say, you need to pick up an ID8000 label - it has a big black and white diamond on the front, and the PO cashier will have some.

Outside the UK - forget it!

I typically use lots of bubble wrap, or a small box if I have it. Never had any problems.
