tips for selling kids clothes on eBay?

Hi, I've a bag full of toddler clothes to sell - mostly Boden outfits. I have sold a lot on eBay in the past, but not for a few years.

Any top tips for postage, minimum price etc.?

You 'd be much better off selling them on one of the dedicated Facebook Boden selling sites.

If you want to go down the auction route, rather than BIN, Personally I start them @ 99p, as I think it encourages bidding, but don't list them for that unless you're willing to sell them for that! Chances are they won't go for that, but you never know.

You could always start the auctions @ £4.99 or whatever instead, it's your choice.

Use the Royal Mail price finder to work out your postage prices. Try to pack items of clothing flat. As if parcels are under 25mm thick they are a lot cheaper.

Personally if an item is likely to sell for under £20 I don't bother sending items recorded, as you can claim back up to that amount from RM if it gets lost. Just make sure you keep the proof of postage.

If you CBA listing all the items individually then bundles are always an option.

But.... Wherever you sell them - seasonal stuff sells best (although Boden sells anyway), lots of photos, be honest about flaws/fading/stains. Postage - small t shirts can often be folded flat into an A4 envelope and go as a large letter (£1.20 ish). Otherwise you can get a bit (1kg???) into a small parcel for £2.80, so offer to combine postage on several items. If I'm not sure, I say that I'll refund excess postage. Also - get signed for postage, lots of people take the mick now and say that they havn't received their parcel.

People say Subday evenings are the best time to end, around 8pm. I don't know if there's any truth in that though !

I have had a lot of success with ending auctions at 8.15-9.45 on a Sunday, yes. Not 8, too soon, people are still settling down in front of the tv!
