Where do I stand with this?

A seller was selling items separately under different listings. Before bidding I asked him if I were to 'win' would he be able to offer a discount on the P&P.

He replied immediately with a 'yes' but I had to advise how he would change the amount because he hadn't done it before.

I 'won' both listings 2 days ago & have sent him 2 messages saying I'm keen to pay and am just awaiting the invoice as per out comms - all through ebay/the correct channel.

I've heard nothing since.

If I don't pay pay, does that leave me open to neg feedback even though he has confirmed in writing he'd do a discount?

I could pay for both items separately but this means he wouldn't be offering me the P&P compromise he promised.

As its only two days and Easter school holidays I would give him another couple of days before escalating it. He can't give you a negative anyway. Only sellers can give those.

He can't give you negative feedback but he could mark you as a non paying bidder. You get three strikes and then eBay close your account.

To be honest, I suspect he's either changed his kind about combining p&p or he doesn't know how. It's possible that he hasn't logged in with it being busy last week, but it wouldn't expect a speedy dispatch if thats the case!

I'd wait two more days maximum and then either pay for both separated and see if he can refund you after or cancel the sale.

Thankyou I will wait. I've been ebaying for 13 years & have never experienced this.

If he marks me as a non-paying bidder, does that show up on my feedback info? If so, could I get it removed on the basis he agreed to the discount?

He has emailed via ebay advising they want to verify his account as he is close to his limit. Looks like I was panicking unnecessarily.

eBay and PayPal are really stepping up with their restrictions and it's very frustrating as a seller. I recently reset up with a new account after 15 years of selling (divorce and nit wanting ex to sabotage etc) and it's been a nightmare to have to start from scratch again
