Refund when paypal money is being held - Help!!!

I recieved a pair of shoes back from a buyer. They requested a refund. All is fine. Want to give the refund but paypal have the money held. Bit afraid that if i go to issue it, paypal will take the funds from my bank account instead of the held money. Then, when the dispute deadline is reached the money is released and then given back to the buyer ...again!
Please help. Not sure what to do!

Ask them to log a proper returns request through eBay. Once this has been initiated, You can then just click refund buyer and it will release the held funds back to them.

They have done that. I am just worried it doesnt give it the money that is held and withdraws from my bank account via paypal. Are you sure it will take it from the money that is held?

Yes, I am an ebay business seller, If your buyer has opened a case paypal will hold the money until you refund. If you did not refund the buyer for any reason paypal have the money held to do it on your behalf.
