Would definately report to ebay, he is selling foreign goods and not mentioning this!
You should be entitled to some of your money (if not all!)

Aimsmum, let me have a word with my husband in the morning (he is asleep now) because my brother-in-law got us a PSP from the States and my husband changed the plug or did something which means it is really safe for my son to plug in. I will get back to you as soon as I can.

Cheeky bastard!
I would contact ebay, and let them advice you! If he did not state in his list then you would be entitled to something!
Let us know how you get on!

santasweetdreamer · 20/12/2006 07:44

definately report him!

he is selling something that doesn't live up to it's description - tell him you're getting in touch with trading standards for advice and see what he says then.

Aimsmum, have just spoken to hubby and he says all he literally did was cut off the american plug and put on a british one, simple as that.

I know it's a pig when you feel 'cheated' on ebay, but at least you have a reasonably easy solution with the adaptor plug.
DH's mate has just bought us 2 back from the states and we have bought adaptors, work no probs.
I'd be annoyed at paying so much over the odds though, they are much cheaper in US anyway. Cheeky git.
