I've bought a collection only item on ebay. The seller is asking me to pay by palpay even though I'm collecting at the weekend. This will be ok won't it?

As a buyer, yes that's fine, there's no risk. But there is a risk to the seller, as in you could collect it then say you didn't recieve it and as they would have no documented proof that you collected, eBay / PayPal would have to refund you.

So short answer, yes perfectly fine, for you in this situation qbut never accept PayPal if you are selling a collection only item, it must be cash only.

As 19lottie82 says it's fine for you as the buyer. It could also come in handy if a fault were to develop in the future.

but if you need to return for a refund you would need online trackig to prove that return.
