I listed 2 items last week. I meant to list as an auction starting at £1 with appropriate postage. Both items worth about £20. Instead, some sort of autofill happened and they were listed as £1 Buy It Now with free P&P. I quickly tried to amend but both got snapped up immediately. One paid instantly, one never paid. I therefore cancelled within seconds of the BIN taking place and relisted properly. I sent polite explanations, both buyers got narky, one threatening to report me to eBay for fraud. As it stood, it would have cost me about £6 to send them the items that they'd paid me a total of £1 each for! Both items sold today under the normal auction format, and both of the original buyers have given me negative feedback e.g. "Won this for £1. Seller cancelled sale then relisted, against eBay rules".
I've never had negative feedback before but I thought you could respond to buyers feedback. How would I do that? I have reported both buyers feedback, explaining the error that I made and how I tried to resolve it fairly. Is there anything else I can do?
