"Saved search" not working?

I tried to save a search on a seller's items today, but the "saved search" button isn't working. I can "follow" the seller, but that doesn't update with emails when the seller has items newly listed, so WTF is going on? I've always been able to save a search on a seller's listing before, but this option seems to have gone - the search button is greyed out. Ebay doesn't seem to want to help it's buyers, does it? Anyone else have problems? Come to think of it, I don't seem to get emails from saved sellers these days anyway!

have you got too many searches saved? Check your saved searches list and make sure you are still receiving emails too.

No, I don't have too many saved searches. I only seem to get emails from searched items, but not from sellers these days. I do wish eBay would stop tinkering with things, as it never seems to be for the better!

have you looked at your list and does each one say you are receiving emails?

So, I have my 'Followed searches' page, in which I have searches for specific items, and also sellers - I have email alerts for certain items I follow, and these do work, but I no longer get email alerts when certain sellers have new listings - this seems to be for quite a while now - but I used to get alerts for those.
Then there is the 'Followed sellers' page, (which I've never really bothered to use much), but you don't get email alerts from those, when a seller puts on a new listing. It's rather annoying, as there are sellers I follow who don't list very often, and I'd just like to be alerted when they do!
Now, it seems, you can't follow a seller's listing in 'Followed searches' (which I used to be able to do) but only in 'Followed sellers' - I hope that doesn't sound too confusing!
