I bought a bag yesterday for probably less than 1/2 the retail price. It's advertised as new and I'm sure the seller is gutted it didn't make more but that's the way Ebay goes.
Today I have a message - apparently she put her stuff for auction in a box and now she can't find it. She spent all yesterday looking for it
So rather than make me wait she's cancelled the transaction.
Yeah right!
Unless she's living in Buckingham Palace there are only a limited number of places that a BOX of auction stuff could be. She must have had it relatively recently to list it. So I've messaged back saying I wanted the bag for my stressed dd (which is true, she really liked it) and so we will wait for her to find it and please reinstate the transaction. If she doesn't do so I think I will report her to Ebay. Obviously I now have alerts set up both on her and the item description. She has entirely positive feedback except for one neutral when she cancelled a transaction for a jumper - which had sold for £1.50
Really cross about this actually. If you want something to sell for a certain price then set it off at that level. Don't waste people's time bidding and then think they will be dim enough to believe you can't find something.
And Ebayer - if you happen to be a mumsnetter too - then yes this is about you and I am not going to be taken for a fool thanks very much.
