Hi. I want to list something and put a reserve on it. It's coming up as charging me £12 to list this item. If the item doesn't sell - will i still have to pay for this listing fee?

Thanks

£12 to list an item on ebay??????

The most i ve ever paid is 50p, most of the time its been free.

What is it that you are selling?

Im not sure if you would get charged tbh.

Yes, you will have to pay any insertation / listing fees if the item doesn't sell. But £12 does sound steep, are you sure that's right? It's only £10 for a car!

Why not list it as a Buy It Now if you want a certain price for it? Or start your auction at the minimum you will accept? Reserve prices can put buyers off.

Remember that there are lots of people out there who rip-off sellers of mobile phones. Do some homework to avoid the obvious pitfalls.

Yes this is true. Make sure you do a bit of research and cover yourself. I'd consider Gumtree as an alternative TBH. Cash on collection only. Less risk (just check the notes aren't fake!) and no eBay, PayPal or postage fees. The first two will be about 12% of your selling price alone.

do buy it now with best offer instead.
