I've not posted on this topic before but I'm still pinching myself! I've been keeping an eye on Stokke Xplory pushchairs for about a month and even used ones never go for less than ?350. This one was from an American seller (has 5 diff prams still on there - also all ridiculously low). The buy it now price was the same as the start price for bidding so I bought it now! All listed today. Seller's feedback seems fine, postage only ?22 from USA. Nothing now can go wrong..... can it???

I think misdee is quite upset and is taking a few days off mn as this has made her feel bad

Pramholism is a little known addiciton that requires sensitive handling fatfeet

the case that really sticks in my mind is a father so afraid that he and his son would be deported he committed suicide as he knew that this would ensure that his son could stay in the UK until he was 18 and had finished his education.

the desperation of that man and the poor son left with no father.

i knod of agree iwht fat feet

Piffle · 30/11/2006 19:54

really?

fatfeet · 30/11/2006 20:54

blimey cod and here's me having just popped back to apologise to misdee. Having finally settled the kids to sleep I re-read misdee's post of 4.29 pm and felt I'd read the whole situation wrongly.

To misdee, I am sorry for the offence caused, piffle is right I simply don't understand pramaholism and probably never will.

please don't feel bad, let me do that for you (as I do feel bad that I've made you feel bad) and please let me know in due course if you feel you can accept my sincere apology.

WonderCod · 30/11/2006 21:21

fatfeet while I agree with what you are saying in principle I think you have misdirected your comments here and would perhaps be better sounding off in more general terms on another thread.

If Misdee wants a bugaboo - fair enough - it's her business. I am actually jealous, the pics are great. Very rewarding to be able to interact with your child whilst out instead of walking behind. Misdee you are a lucky sausage and what a bargain.

vickiyumyum · 01/12/2006 11:28

why oh why do people still persist on making an 'example' of misdee?
she has explained hersefl, not that she should ahve felt the need to, that whilst peter was extremely ill and in hospital long term her financial situation wasn't great, but now things are looking up for them and she has quite a thriving business of restoring and selling rare dolls on ebay, so surely she can buy whatever takes her fancy.
working with people in debt must cloud your judgement a bit, but some people do get out of the mess and stay out. fingers crossed for misdee shes one of them. i know i've done it, left uni £15,000 in debt with ccj's coming out of my ears as was never eligible for student loans etc, but am straight now and and have been for many years.
misdees actaully quite a good prmholic as she aways sell on her old ones when she gets a new one, there are many out there who have garages full of the things!!!!
((((hugs)))) to misdee
