Is there a way to remove PayPal as default option for Collection Only listing?

Sorry for asking something that's probably been asked before, I've not sold on EBay for a few years and am trying to navigate new-to-me settings!

I have a collection only listing that I want to set up. Don't want someone paying PayPal, as I want cash on collection, but EBay seems to not allow me to remove PayPal as an option?

Is there a workaround on this, or do I just have to put CASH ONLY all over the listing, contact the winning bidder ASAP after auction ends to reiterate this and hope for the best?

TIA.

Someone more knowledgable than me may know otherwise, but I think you are obliged to offer paypal nowadays.

You could say in the listing that you wish to receive cash on collection but the buyer can ignore this if they wish and pay via paypal.

At least, that is what I have found in my limited experience.

Bugger.

Thanks for the lightning fast response!

no you can't remove it - but you just write cash on collection only. And if they pay by paypal you refund and insist on cash.

Thanks, Summer.

I was caught by this and have had a pain in the bum experience ever since! Wish I had know about the refund! Elegant simplicity!
