Things not arriving

I've ordered a load of different things from different sellers for DD's birthday and party. All of them show as dispatched and showing as due to arrive by 1st Sept. They were low cost items so have been sent second class. 3 out of 15 haven't arrived. Is this common for second class post? do you get rogue posties? Or is it just bad luck?

I did think that about stealing crap. I wonder if it's worth selling on eBay but not bothering to post - do some people not follow up things up?

why would the seller mark it as dispatched but not bother to post? That makes no sense whatsoever.

Things can get marked as dispatched when the seller bought postage, but then not actually be dispatched if seller didn't get a chance to post it (since they already paid for postage there's no scam in this for them, btw).

Have you tried contacting the sellers, Pico2? How many different sellers were there & how much did you pay each seller?

I would contact seller first before opening a not-received case, but don't wait too long before opening the not-received case.

Drop shipping is the other possibility, mind...

I've contacted the sellers this evening. One said that they've had a few of the same item go missing in the post and they think it is because it is very light (£5 item). I'm not sure why that would make it get lost. Another said they had proof of postage and would follow it up with the post office (£11 item). It's frustrating as I want the items far more than I care about the money.

What is drop shipping?

All sellers should both have proof of posting so they can claim back value of lost items. Not your problem if they don't. Is it only 2 sellers?

The person chasing with post office i would give them up to 5 business days to sort it out. If it doesn't turn up by then, I would politely ask for a refund then if no joy proceed to not-received case. The £5 item: either they send out a replacement or you open a not-received case (or they can refund without you opening a case, if you both prefer that). If replacement never arrives, open a not-received case.

Drop-shipping is... they make a contract to sell you an item they don't have but they order it sent to you from another supplier (e.g., Amazon). They make a profit out of the price difference you didn't know about. Obviously they are not directly in charge of dispatch, so delays are more likely.
