Selling designer / expensive items - how to do it safely

Hi there

Forgive the daft question, but how do you go about selling things of (relatively) high value safely? I have a BN Mulberry purse which was an unwanted gift which I would like to get rid of. Normally, I would just photograph and stick on, except I am wary of people asking me to prove authenticity or, worse, buying it and then returning a fake, leaving me £00 out of pocket. Is there a protocol for this? Or a safe way of going about it? Or indeed a better forum than EBay for sales?

Could you not sell locally on a buy and sell Facebook site for your town?
That way, you hand it over after person looks at it.

I wouldn't even chance selling it on ebay with all the scams that are going on,best as Verbena says and sell it locally if you can. best of luck

Maybe ask on the Style & Beauty threads - there are quite a few handbag addicts who buy pre-owned designer bags and purses from reputable sources, and they might have some suggestions.
