How soon do you pay?

Always find it odd, when someone comes in with a last moment bid, wins the item, but doesn't pay up straight away.
This has happened more than once, nothing wrong with it as it does get paid in the next day or 2, but just find it strange. If I bid right at the end and win, I pay right away (whats the point in waiting?)

I pay straight away, unless im away for some reason... then I panic after 24 hours that they'll report me!

ISawTortoiseKissingSantaClaus · 23/11/2006 22:18

I always pay straight away unless there isn't enough money in my Paypal account but something i'm selling ends in the next day or two. Then i have the money to pay.

I pay straight away as otherwise I might forget and I'm paranoid about bad feedback for some reason.

some people will win bids in the final moments through using a sniper site. i sold loads this week, and although 5 finished last night, i sent 4 packages off today, and was stil lwaiting for one mroe payment, which has just come through a few moments ago, so have to do another PO run tomorrow. thats what i hate about ebay is actually packaging everything up.

i have to buy more blue bags as only have the small ones leftm and have soent £10 on a bulk buy of padded envolopes this week as well. [groans]

Not just me then!
Dh always lists the items, I package them, label them etc then he generally posts them. This weeks bunch of sales will take about 3 separate trips to the P.O.

I find it annoying when that happens as well, I hadnt thought about the sniper thing.

I tend to pay straight away, or I would forget.

LunarSea · 24/11/2006 21:53

I use a sniper site too, and pay as soon as I'm back online again, which might be as soon as the auction finishes, or first thing next morning if it's late at night say.

Posey · 24/11/2006 21:55

The most recent one, which caused me to post, was someone who bid and won on Saturday but only paid today. Just a tad tardy imo

I also pay as soon as its finished.
What sniper sites have you guys used?

LunarSea · 25/11/2006 08:19

xena - try Auctionstealer (up to three a week without paying}, Justsnipe (5/week) or Bidsniper+ (try before signing up, or sign up for unlimited free use, but only one item at a time).

All these have paid for versions too, but a combination of the free ones is more than enough for what I need! I'm sure there are others out there too.
