**POSTED ITEM** before receiving payment !!! How stupid Am I?

My selling Items ended on sat 18th nov, but obviously waited til monday to post them. I was so engrosed on MN that I never checked if Id received all my payments before I posted them off!!! Got home on monday & I'd not received payment for one of the items!
Looked again today & still no payment!
Luckily I only posted 2nd class, so they may receive them tomorrow.
Im now worried that they will get the trainers & decide to not pay, & make the excuse of not receiving them.

I know, I know, I should have done recorded delivery, but I didnt. Dont even have proof of posting either.
Im such a bloody idiot
Ive checked their feedback & its in the thousands, only 1 neg feedback received a while ago.

What do I do now?

Any one else experienced this?

mail them to say you have not received payment yey - and then wait to see what happens.

un mark as payment received and send a reminder invoice advising you have posted, then cross your finger

I've sent stuff before getting payment. And have always been paid. I would remain optimistic for the time being. You can always email them to prompt them to pay.

I sent another invoice yesterday, but nothing!
not even received an email saying anything either.
If I have ever been in this situation (as a buyer) I have always emailed the person & explained/asked if I can make a late payment.
I just think its inconsiderate to do this, as its the not knowing that causes concern.

honestly, don't get into a stew yet - its not reasonable to expect instant payment. they might be away for a long weekend, or just have a busy life. its hardly a late payment if only ended on saturday.

It sometimes takes people a while to read the messages you send... just wait to see, i'm sure they will pay. And if they don't there are lots of things you can do... that's why eBay is so good in a way!

Keep the thread up to date...if you still have problems, I am an experienced seller so will guide you through dispute console and unpaid item processes etc
But i'm sure it will be fine... I did it myself when I first started and always got paid.

what's the rating for the person you sent the item to ???

They might be away, there might be any explanation. If they have that good a feedback rating, they'll probably pay.

Just out of interest ... I bought something from an seller ( rated 2 ) ... and he did not return any emails ... I finally called him ( you can get the number through ebay ... if you dig ) ...
and he had lost his laptop ... and he was a great bloke asn posted the item before my paypal payment had cleared ...

So think the best ... it might not be that bad xxx

I have checked again tonight & still no payment. I know they would have received item today as I have had fedback from another buyer (posted on same day).
Their feedback is (1160) so Im sure I have nothing to worry about. I have also checked my paypal account & nothing showing either. As on MyEbay page I had 2 items not yet paid for but when I checked my paypal accnt I had received payment from 1 buyer, but it was still saying on MYebay page that the buyer has not completed checkout!
Ive also checked over the feedback written by others etc. There appears to be alot of peolple leaving feedback around a month after the sale of item. Maybe this is nothing out of the ordinary but I seem to receive alot of my feedback more or less straight away, apart from the odd one.

I just feel so stupid for posting it, I'm normally so observant.

Oh yea,oops forgot to mention that I have sent them an email very briefly letting them know I had posted item on monday & to say I had not received payment & if they were in difficulty of paying then we could come to a arrangement of a payment when convenient for them.

This person is obviously a little slow about these things! if other feedback look to be about a month later!!
...when usually auction finishes, payment is recieved and feedback is given in about a week or less!.

I wouldn't have put in the email that you could sort out an arrangement for payment!... as that may delay them further thinking that your in no rush! They obviously have the money or they wouldn't have bid for it!! but never mind...

... I have waited over a week for someone to pay before... it will come.

If they haven't got negative feedback I don't think you have anything to worry about and if they do check to see why?

Looked again through their feedback & they have purchased & paid for items that ended the day after mine did !
Ive emailed again, but Im now wondering whether maybe kids have bidded on it. Ive heard of that happening before.

Cant believe I posted off without any proof of purchase either. Feel so stupid & angry, but at least its taught me a lesson.

Just to let you know that I have received an email. She said "I didnt expect you to deliver them before I paid for them" She is waiting for payments to go into her paypal account before she can pay for the trainers, & will prob pay today.
I explained that it was a genuine mistake to post first, but would have at least expected an email. But not to worry she has emailed me now.
So fingers crossed, hopefully get it today.

i did this it was the first time i ever sold anything on e-bay and i posted items the same day and nobody had paid me
anyway i e-mailed them to ask for the payment and all but one paid
the one person that didnt said they had never received the item i had posted
but you always get idots
