Sold an item of furniture last Sunday. After messaging to ask where we were and when could they come, I heard nothing for four days. Messaged twice to ask when they were coming and to say sorry but if you don't collect I'll have to report. They messaged back to say could they come today. I said yes, sorry for the abrupt message but thought you were being dodgy. Today, nothing. I've sat in all day and no response. So bloody annoying. When would it be ok to report? If they get back to me now do I tell them to jog on?

I'd give them one more chance, but say "If you don't get back to me with a specific day and time by Sunday evening, then I'm afraid I'm going to re-list".

If they specify a time and don't turn up, then re-list.

If it's something you can easily enough resell, I would file non-paying bidder. You don't have good choices here.

I;d give 2nd chance as Purl suggests if item is hard to sell.

It's an oak cupboard. We used it as a TV stand. Not that difficult to sell I don't think. I'll message them again to say I bloody waited in all day and give them your suggestion Purl. God aren't people cheeky?

open the unpaid case now. No point wasting any more time on them.

I'll give them till tomorrow in case they do suddenly turn up at some point. They're supposed to be bringing me lots of cash!

Don't relist until the unpaid item case has closed, you'll end up in messy situation if you have one item & 2 contracted buyers.
