Negative or neutral feedback?

I bought an item for Â£100 - something I really want and the price is excellent.

However I should have received it a week ago and the seller is not communicating well with me - sporadic replies and not answering my text message.

He's selling it on behalf of a charity - I have stalked him looked at his online profile and he checks out ok.

I think he will eventually post it, and assuming the product works ok, what feedback should I give if the product turns out to be as it should be but the comms and speed of delivery were shoddy? It is the first time he has sold on eBay but has a positive buyer feedback record.

Wait, Ebay says this items should have arrived 7 days ago?
I would file item not received now. That gives them a week to dispatch still, I think, plenty of time to get selves in order.

You leave the f/back that reflects how you feel about whether you would want to buy from them again or how you would advise other people whether to buy from them.

The estimated delivery was 5 working days, which is a week ago last Saturday.

Seller has now texted me back, with a tracking number, saying it went out today.

So, it's really now about what feedback I give the chump - neutral or negative? WWYD?

Positive if the item is as you wanted and a good buy but possibly lower stars for delivery time - don't neg or neutral I think that is harsh as it effects a seller quite a lot and if he is doing it for a charity it's a shame. It is a bit slow but as long as it arrives and is ok then give em a break - 3 stars in any category gives a seller a defect. They sent tracked which is a good thing.

sending tracked is for the benefit of a seller, not a buyer and a pre requisite if you sell on eBay. And an item arriving 10 days late with very poor comms doesn't deserve positive feedback does it.

Is it correctly listed as a charity item btw?

have you tried typing the tracking number into the courier service to confirm something is really on its way?

Agree hold off until you have the item & can assess the whole transaction.

ps: but dont' wait too long, you have a limited time window to get your money back if all goes pear shaped.

I wouldn't leave negative or neutral feedback, that's a bit harsh (as long as the item is OK).

Just leave low stars for dispatch time.

They'll still get a defect either way.
