Do they still do these?

I've recently been emptying my loft with the help of eBay, but haven't heard about Free Listing for ages.

Think you get 20 free listings a month, haven't seen the free weekends for a while. ....

CointreauVersial · 30/05/2015 09:34

My 20 free listings didn't last long, that's the problem!

Yes, they still do Free Listing Weekends but they are by invitation only. They send you an email with a link that you have to accept. Or, you can see the offers in your Selling Manager Summary and accept them there. I seem to get 1 or 2 per month but they are not always Sat-Sun, they are sometimes Sun-Tues, or Sunday only.

CointreauVersial · 30/05/2015 17:09

Hmm Maybe I'm not worthy of an invitation. Not special enough.

Ah well, new month soon..

At present people seem to be divided into 3 or so groups for invitations, so not everyone gets an offer at the same time. If you are not receiving emails it would be worth checking your Selling Manager Summary each day at the weekend to see if there are any offers. I assume your account is OK and not below standard?

CointreauVersial · 30/05/2015 18:07

Above standard, apparently, but I only recently started selling again after a fairly long absence. Will look for any offers....

Yes, I have also found that the emails get to me much later then the offer starts. I am trying to check my Selling Manager Summary early each day at the weekend so I don't miss any offers. I have reordered the items in that Summary so that the offers appear at the top of the page. I think if you log in from scratch each time you will also be shown any new offers, but I tend to just keep a Safari tab open on my iPad at my "active listings page".

Open another eBay account (or 2) then you will have another 20 listings each month.

Just wanted to say thanks to Purplefrogs - I subscribed to Selling Manager, logged in today, and lo and behold - a Free Listing Offer for today!

I had lots of drafts ready to go, so that's saved me a bit of money - thanks for the tip!

Glad to have been of service! I have one as well - covering today, tomorrow and Tuesday. I have only done one new listing so far but have items finishing later I will relist.

robin64 · 01/06/2015 21:11

Thanks - only just realised I have this offer - didn't get an email it's at the bottom of my all listing page. Went at it relisting unsold items and suddenly got a charge so have realised that items must be auction or BIN with BEST OFFER. A bit annoyed with myself as I have used up my 20 for the month by mistake. Anyway cheers for the heads up and onwards and upwards!

If you do 30 day BINs then you don't need many free listing offers.

I usually seem to get a 100-free offer right after I've listed 3 or 4 items, like it triggers something in the system.
