What have I done wrong?!

I advertised an old laptop which I thought was working, but when I sold it and came to parcel it up, my OH (an IT bod), told me it needed some work on it - grrrr. I issued the buyer with a full refund immediately, and sent her a really apologetic note saying what had happened.
She left me positive feedback (??!!) saying 'Worst ebayer ever' - thanks for that - and I responded politely via the feedback form, with what had happened as I didn't want future buyers to be put off - I've got 100% feedback and sell and buy a lot.
She's then sent me a message via eBay saying 'Why did you lie to me"? I'm a bit worried as we live only about 2 miles apart, not sure if she's realised this, but I'd report her immediately if it weren't the case. I've blocked her from bidding as I don't feel I've done anything wrong. I've been honest, apologetic and issued a full refund?!
What would you do?

I think you have to accept that you did do something wrong - you didn't check its state before it was sold - so it wasn't in working condition or whatever you put on the description. Even though I understand what happened, to a buyer, it smacks of "didn't get enough so now say its not working and won't have to sell it for the amount it went for". Not sure there is anything you can do - accept the feedback and move on.

I don't blame her for being a bit annoyed you should have thoroughly checked the laptop was in order before putting it up for sale, maybe she missed out on another laptop because she bid on yours?

Anyway you've done all you can, no need to report her just move on

you will need to get your fees back so will have to send a cancellation request

I wouldn't have responded to her feedback - no need as it was a pos. By responding you have drawn attention to it.
