gumtree-does it work?

hi,sorry not ebay (yet!) but gumtree-I listed some good quality furniture items a few days ago, priced to sell, in the £100's due to original costs being much higher, but not had any interest-how long do these things normally take to shift, would I be better going on ebay as well? they are big and was hoping to sell locally,collection only (greater London). am new to all this, any advice please?

not usually if you are selling for hundreds - unless A) item is easily portable and B) item is worth thousands.

If competitively priced it will sell. Just make sure cash only, never paypal

just be careful of the random unspecific texts you get from random overseas people. Got so much on my nerves every time I posted something for sale I now never use Gumtree

I sold our old boiler in a few days. Didn't think it would sell but it did.

I find Gumtree hit and miss, get the odd email - 'is this still available' then nothing I mean why ask???
