buyer refusing to collect

listed item as collection only on a buy it now. someone has bought it without asking where in particular we are (large principal town with lots of smaller areas surrounding it) and is now bitching that it's too far to collect.

how long do I give her before reporting her to ebay and cancelling the sale?

I'd just cancel it and report it immediately and relist it. People like that are just time wasters, and she obviously didn't read the info on the listing.

Cherryapple1 · 03/04/2015 20:09

48 hours to file an unpaid case then 4 days until you can close it and then relist or do a second chance offer .

wheresthelight · 03/04/2015 20:13

thank you! will give her another 24 hours and then let ebay sort it out.

bloody time wasters really annoy me! the stupid thing is she only lives about 8 miles from me

Sometimes people make mistakes, has she paid already? What is she asking you to do?

wheresthelight · 04/04/2015 20:54

nope not paid and she not sure what she wants. I get the impression she doesn't drive as she is trying to sort a lift out but has emailed me today insisting that she picks it up there and then only I was out so she n ow has the hump as I have told her I am not arranging for her to collect it tomorrow as it's easter Sunday and I have visitors

why are people so rude?!

I don't see the problem in her collecting on Easter Sunday. Surely it only takes ten minutes tops? Cash in hand in exchange of product and that's it both happy.

wheresthelight · 04/04/2015 21:20

Well I do have an issue with it and I don't want my day interrupted. I will be knee deep in cooking dinner for 10 people and trying to oversee an raster egg hunt so frankly it's not convenient. but my reasons are irrelevant, it's not convenient end of

You must be having a laugh. Some flaky buyers would see a collection time of, say 12.00 as actually being a 4 hour window around that time with the option to not bother turning up at all without letting the seller know if it doesn't suit their mood.

wheresthelight · 04/04/2015 21:47

that is my other concern to be honest.

her replies to messages have been sporadic at best and all I got for 36 hours was "trying to sort out how to get there" surely to god you check where something is before buying it??

OP posts:
wheresthelight · 04/04/2015 23:31

She is now sending abusive emails because I said no yo her collecting tomorrow!! Blush

some people are really pathetic

Did you open the unpaid case? If not, do so ASAP. And you can report her messages to eBay.

wheresthelight · 05/04/2015 08:44

I didn't but I have reported her to ebay as she has left negative feedback saying I wouldn't arrange collection!! ffs I gave her half a dozen options but surprisingly wasn't able to do right that minute when she emailed saying "are you in right now" and don't want random strangers at my door on easter Sunday! gave her several times for in the week but she has refused saying she only does her ebay buying etc at weekends.

bloody nightmare! think I will go back to selling on facebook it's far less stressful!

Once you close the unpaid case the neg will be removed. Get it open asap.
