...I intermittently sell on eBay and it has worked really well so far. Am planning a big pre Christmas clear out of outgrown/no longer needed STUFF from my spare room in order to raise some Christmas spending money !

What's been the best sale you've made on eBay ?

One of my nans REAL fur coats when we cleared out her house!
It was white rabbit fur quite grim really thought no one would want it!
Got £180 for it

my husband had a 10 year old, broken, welding helmet, sold for £51.00. I was gutted as we sold my Mama's and Papa's pram with all the trimmings (about £500 new) for just £31.00 !!!

An ols annual which my mum was about to put in the recycling bin.I got £36.00 for it.

Also a tacky plate I bought for 15p made £7 when I sold it.A boden coat I bought for £1.50 made £11.00.

I am about to put a Ladybird book on,I paid 10p for it & the going rate seems to be about £16.00.So I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

oooh, Hunkermunker will be pleased to see this up and running!

We need to have a thread for ebay virgins. I just don't get it all

My DH wsa gieven a suubuteo set years ago, never played with. Current bidding £71.00. Marvellous!

flibbertyjibbet · 31/10/2006 22:41

I have found that the things you think are worth something get rubbish bids, and the things you think, well its just a piece of old tat thats been in the attic for years, well I can't beleive how much they go for. So you have to look on it as swings and roundabouts and you never can tell what you will get - thats why its all so exciting!! So best to just bung everything on with no price expectations and you will be pleasantly surprised.

wanderingstar · 31/10/2006 23:10

Maybe there's a bonanza in the offing then; today I seem to have unearthed quite a lot of what I think is tat !

best sells

santa dress 12-18mth from Matalan sold for £13 last november - paid £3 for it just before the previous xmas

an incomplete set of court cards in original case (old fashioned playing cards) went for £500 - found them when clearing dh's grandmothers house, had no idea what they were or what they were worth.

Spannapiana · 02/11/2006 20:16

I tried to sell my husband...no bids but 2 questions for seller lol

Tickle · 02/11/2006 20:51

LOL Spannania

never sold anything as we are now in Denmark, and I don't think people would pay postage. In fact, not sure I would even be allowed to sell?

Still buy lots of bits and bobs tho, mainly for my classic car. And bought dh a big box of brio trainset for ds1's first Christmas

Tickle · 02/11/2006 20:52

VanillaMilkshake · 08/11/2006 20:39

Best sale was a Tommy Hilfiger jacket that was my DD's when she was 12 months old - went for £17 Not as much as some of you so I'll just have to route around the house for more stuff.

Worst sale last week bundle of age 2-3 girls clothing literally loads of items, 5 sets and and about 6 tops - went for £5 to the one and only bidder

MoosMa · 08/11/2006 22:28

We got given some Dolce and Gabbana shoes for DD when she was born, they were pretty but too stiff for tiny feet - just sold them for £31!
